Law Library Study Room Reservations
You must click the "Submit Reservation" button [
] at the end of the booking form to complete your reservation.
Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.
Law Library study rooms are available exclusively for University of Minnesota Law Students use. The following policies apply:
- Study room reservations are intended for personal use only. Law students may not make reservations on behalf of another individual or group.
- Students may not make simultaneous reservations under one name.
- Each student’s reservations may total no more than 8 hours per day.
- Reservations may be made no more than 3 days in advance.
- Only the reservation owner may pick up the study room key at the start of a reservation.
- Study room keys must be claimed within the first 20 minutes of the reservation time, or the reservation may be cancelled.
- Study room keys should be kept with the reservation holder throughout the duration of the reservation. Do not leave keys unattended (e.g., in the study room door, a car, etc.).
- Do not leave your personal belongings in the study room after your reservation has ended.
- Group study rooms are limited to 6 people. Individual study rooms are limited to 1 person.
- Do not bring any outside furniture into the study rooms.
- Study room keys must be returned at the end of each reservation.
- When the circulation desk is open, keys should be returned to library staff at the circulation desk. When the circulation desk is closed, keys should be returned to the book drop located next to the circulation desk.
- Study rooms are not soundproof.
- The fee for a lost study room key is $30.
The Law Library reserves the right to cancel reservations made by students who attempt to abuse the system.
